When the band size is calculated by the RIP, the size of the band is influenced by the /MaxBandMemory system parameter, (a float) measured in mebibytes, which controls the maximum memory set aside for band rendering. The band height is reduced until a single band fits within /MaxBandMemory . The band height is calculated to use as many lines as possible within the given memory.
