Introduction
Smart Media Manager (SMM) is a SmartDFE application for color calibration and media setup on digital inkjet printers. It guides operators through a structured characterization process, including drop level mixing, pinning, dot gain correction, ink limiting, and ICC profiling. These steps help the printer achieve the best available color gamut for a specific media and ink combination. The resulting configuration is saved as a Smart Media Definition (SMD) file, which can be reused or shared across systems.
