ICC profiles can be created in the full ColorLogic applications, but Smart Media Manager also includes a streamlined three-step workflow, powered by ColorLogic technology, for generating profiles directly from the selected media setup.
Print Profile Charts
Use Print Profile Charts to select and print the profile charts.
Read Profile Charts
Use Read Profile Charts to open Measure Tool with the correct setup for the printed charts. After the charts are measured, Smart Media Manager can generate the ICC profile.
Template Configuration
The template controls how the ICC profile is generated. Smart Media Manager provides four default templates with predefined values.
All templates share the same settings except for two parameters: Black Start and Pure Gray.
-
Option 1: Black Start = 25, Pure Gray = On
-
Option 2: Black Start = 25, Pure Gray = Off
-
Option 3: Black Start = 35, Pure Gray = On
-
Option 4: Black Start = 35, Pure Gray = Off
You can also create custom templates by copying your configurations to the Resources\IccConfigs folder.
If the template is set up correctly, it can be selected when generating ICC profiles. For best results, do not change or remove the template tokens.
Generate ICC
Generate ICC becomes available after the profile charts have been measured. Select it to create the ICC profile.
Naming the ICC Profile
When generating the profile, enter a profile name. You can optionally include a timestamp to make profile versions easier to identify.
