Linearization measures the density response of the printer and builds a density correction curve.
Before Linearization
Print Linearization Target
Click Print Target button. A dialog appears where you can select either a standard target or an inline target imported via Import Targets pane.
Click Print target to generate and print a target similar to the following:
Print Interval Bars
Use Print Interval Bars to show or hide interval bars on the linearization target.
Measure Linearization Target
Click Measure Target button. A dialog appears where you can select either a standard reference or an inline reference generated when the inline targets were imported.
Click "OK" to open Measure Tool with the correct setup for the printed linearization target.
Generate Linearization
After the target has been measured, Generate Linearization becomes available. Click it to create the linearization files in the media.
After Linearization
Check Linearization
Check Linearization allows you to select and print the linearization target again using the generated correction.
Measure Linearization Target
Measure Linearization Target opens Measure Tool with the correct setup for the printed check target.
