This project shows, in simple terms, how an industrial printing system can be controlled remotely through a custom application. Instead of using the standard press interface, a client app can send print jobs, change settings, and start or monitor printing from the outside.
The solution works by connecting to Smart Print Controller (SPC) and Meteor hardware using OPC/UA. It combines file-based job submission (for the actual print files) with real-time control for operations and status. This creates a flexible “remote operator” approach that can be used for automation, integration, or custom user interfaces.
The second white paper focuses on one important detail: keeping the printed image correctly aligned. When calibration (PrintFlat) is used, both SPC and Meteor must apply the same offset values. If they don’t match, the print can be shifted or misaligned.

Together with the sample application in this repository: Browse Sandbox / Andrea - Hybrid Software Group Bitbucket., these documents provide a starting point for building a custom printing application.
