PDF/X is a family of standards dealing with reliable pre-press graphics file exchange [PDF/X family].
The RIP may be put into a PDF/X mode using the /EnforcePDFVersion pdfparam (see Example of using setpdfparams), which causes PDF/X jobs to be treated differently to standard PDF. In the PDF/X mode both color management and overprint settings may be modified.
