Smart Media Manager (SMM) communicates with Smart Print Controller (SPC) to retrieve the printer profile definition. This provides settings such as screen, resolution, and the information needed to print measurement targets for a Smart Media Definition (SMD).
Media settings can also be loaded from SPC and saved back to SPC after they have been updated in Smart Media Manager.
To enable this communication, SPC must be running with OPC UA enabled.
Printing Targets
Before printing targets, make sure Smart Media Manager is connected to SPC and that External Control is enabled.
You can cancel a target print run by selecting X.
During the print run, Smart Media Manager shows the number of printed pages and the total number of pages required.
When the print run finishes, a message indicates whether it completed successfully.
